This is our brand new collection of Beeswax wraps Moomin.

Beeswax wraps allow you to store your food in a natural and plastic-free way. They serve the same purpose as

plastic wrap and adheres just as well as the plastic wrap around food or dishes. Wrap the cloth around the cheese, vegetables, fruit, or a plate of food, and warm the cloth with your hands so it molds to the shape of the item. The antibacterial properties of beeswax keep food fresh and in good condition. Skip the plastic and choose the beeswax wrap, which is good for both you and the environment.

About the design: It depicts the magical nights with shooting stars and moonlight in Moominvalley. We don’t know exactly where Moominvalley is, but we like to think that we’re all looking at the same starry sky, just from different directions. In the pattern, the Moomin family sits admiring the starry sky, Snufkin plays the accordion, and the sky sparkles with stars. Read more about our collaboration with Moomin Characters Oy Ltd here. 

Care instructions: Wash by hand under running cold/lukewarm water; a small amount of organic dish soap may be used. Dry with a towel or allow to air dry. The cloth should not come into contact with high temperatures as the beeswax will melt. 

If cared for properly, a beeswax cloth can last about one to two years (or approximately 400 uses) and can then be re-impregnated. You can do this by treating the fabric with a new beeswax mixture, which will make the cloth last even longer.

The beeswax cloths come in a three-pack with one of each size: Small 21 × 21 cm, Medium 28 × 28 cm, and Large 35 × 35 cm.
